Visually, the design tone is set by the more aggressive lines, and a more expressive front and rear. The Duster's rugged stance is emphasized by its bold, more horizontal lines, 16" or new 17" wheels, new more prominent aluminum roof bars, and front and rear skid plates. The chrome trim of the grille, a raised waistline and the powerful C-shaped light signature complete the powerful stance of the New Duster.
The totally redesigned interior of the all-new Duster has a bright and spacious cabin, more enveloping seats, high quality upholstery and it will comfortably seat five adults. Travelling comfort is heightened by the newly designed and numerous easily accessible storage spaces, and improved accessibility of controls, and amongst others, an enhanced Multimedia experience. The large boot has a capacity of 478 litres and if more loading space is required, the rear bench seat splits 1/3 - 2/3 split and can be folded down.
A useful feature in the new Renault Duster is the keyless entry, whereby the hands-free card automatically unlocks the doors as one approaches the vehicle and automatically locks the car as you walk away. A handy stop-start button allows for the convenience of just pressing a button to start or stop the vehicle without necessitating direct use of the key card. Other features include; Blind Spot warning, Automatic Climate Control, Speed Limiter and Cruise Control. Standard equipment for the All-New Renault Duster includes; Hill Descent Control within the 4x4 model, a Multi-View Camera that allows for easy visibility of the front, rear or side terrain, triggered by the reverse gear or by a simple touch of the dedicated button. The innovative 4x4 monitor allows one to even check the pitch and roll angles of the Duster at any given time.
With the Transmission Mode Selector on the 4x4 Model, the driver is able to switch between 3 driving modes; 2WD Mode where the engine torque is distributed to the front wheels, Automatic Mode allowing distribution of engine torque over the 4 wheels or Lock Mode for engine torque distribution to all four wheels.
The New Duster offers a multitude of advanced active and passive safety technology as standard across the range which includes; ABS, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Emergency Brake Assist, Rear Park Distance Control and Hill Start Assist which when taking your foot off the brake, will hold the car steady for 2 seconds, allowing the driver to accelerate normally without stalling or rolling back.
The all-new Renault Duster offers a choice of two fuel options and three engine options; a 1.6L 16V petrol engine and two versions of the 1.5 dCi turbo engine. According to figures from Renault, the Diesel 1.5 dCi 4x2's engine produces 66 KW and 210 NM and consumes from only 5.1 lts/100 km’s. The 4x2 EDC and 4x4 Manual versions produce 80 KW and 250 NM with consumption from only 4.8 lts/100 km’s. The 6-speed Dual-Clutch EDC Automatic gearbox is now available with the 1.5 dCi Diesel engine.
